Capt. Bruce Wilds is an avid waterfowler with over 20 years of experience hunting ducks and geese.  Bruce is a USCG licensed Master Captain. He got his start along the Massachusetts coast hunting sea ducks and puddlers in the marshes of the South Shore.  Bruce moved from Massachusetts to Virginia’s historic Northern Neck, on the famed Chesapeake Bay in 1998, where he was a Virginia State Game Warden for several years.  Career changes lead Bruce to his current profession as a professional firefighter which allowes him significantly more time to pursue his passions for the outdoors.

Bruce is also an outdoor writer/photographer for the Sportsman’s Magazine, where he is the outdoor field editor for the hunting section. He is an IHEA Hunter Education Instructor and IBEP Bowhunter Education Instructor and routinely conducts seminars throughout the state of Virginia on all hunting and outdoor related topics.  Bruce is a field pro staff member for Hunter Specialties and Outdoor Marketing Group.

As a dedicated and die hard hunter himself, rest assured, Bruce will do his best to provide a safe and successful hunt for all of his clients. He constantly monitors the bird activity in his hunting areas and will put hunters in only the best places, while being careful not to over-hunt any one particular area. Allowing the birds to rest creates the potential for the waterfowl to remain in the area for the entire season.
